Privacy Policy
There are no accounts on Quirkly. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or date of birth, and we don’t store anything that identifies you. Your quiz answers stay in your browser. What we keep is anonymous: which quiz was finished and which result it produced.
1. What we collect

We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account details, precise geolocation, biometric data, or any other sensitive personal information. We do not ask for your birth date; where a quiz uses a birth month or year, that value stays in your browser and is never transmitted to us.
2. Why we use it
- To show accurate participation counts and result percentages
- To understand which quizzes people finish and which they abandon, so we can improve them
- To display reactions and comments on result pages
- To keep the site working, prevent abuse, and support advertising that funds it
We do not use your information to build a profile about you, and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors.
3. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic in aggregate. It sets cookies in your browser and may collect a truncated IP address, device information, and the pages you visit. See Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense and other ad partners. If advertising is shown on this site, third party vendors including Google use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info and networkadvertising.org.
Local storage. The site stores a small amount of data in your browser so a quiz you are partway through survives a refresh, and so a result you just got can be shown to you. This never leaves your device and you can clear it by clearing site data in your browser.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where the browser sends them, and we treat a GPC signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
4. Who we share with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share limited data with the service providers that make the site run:
- Vercel — hosting and content delivery (server logs, IP address at request time)
- Supabase — the database that stores anonymous completion counts, reactions, and comments
- Google — analytics and, where enabled, advertising
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CKT Company or others.
5. Where data is processed
CKT Company is based in the Republic of Korea, and our service providers operate servers in the United States and elsewhere. If you use the site from outside Korea, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from those of your country.
6. How long we keep it
Anonymous completion counts and reaction totals are kept as long as the quiz exists, because they are aggregate numbers with no personal data in them. Comments are kept until removed by us or on request. Google Analytics data is retained according to Google’s settings, currently 14 months.
7. Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request deletion of personal information we hold about you, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell personal information. Sharing data with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered “sharing” under the CPRA; you can opt out using the ad settings links in section 3 or by sending a GPC signal from your browser. To make any other request, email chlrhlanf3652@gmail.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request”. Because we do not collect identifiers, we may need you to describe the specific comment or record you are asking about so that we can locate it.
8. Other U.S. state privacy rights
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights of access, correction, deletion, and opt-out, including the right to appeal a decision we make about a request. Use the same email address above and we will respond within the period your state’s law requires.
9. Children’s privacy (COPPA)
Quirkly is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided information through this site, email chlrhlanf3652@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
10. Security
Traffic to this site is encrypted with HTTPS, and write access to our database is restricted to a small set of server functions. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — which is one reason we designed the site not to hold identifying information in the first place.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and post the new version here. The current version took effect on September 5, 2026.
