Soft Static
Future, but gentle. Everything slightly out of focus.
Round edges, warm light, things that look touchable
You want things that look like they arrived early
Few pieces, chosen slowly, nothing shouting for attention
Who you are
Pale, smooth, and a little bit unreal. Frosted glass, blurred gradients, rounded corners on everything. Your aesthetic looks like a screen at low brightness, and it works because it never asks anything of the person looking at it.
You're drawn to calm surfaces and things that don't announce themselves. It's a modern taste without the coldness that usually comes with modern — the future as a quiet room rather than a laboratory.
The thing to watch is that soft and forgettable share a border. When nothing has contrast, the eye has nowhere to land, and a space with nothing to land on reads as unfinished rather than serene.
Add one genuinely dark object. A black frame, a deep bowl, anything with weight. Everything pale around it will suddenly look deliberate.
You know it's you when…
- Almost nothing you own has a hard corner on it
- Your screen brightness lives permanently below halfway
- You describe colors as almost white and mean four different ones
