Demeter
You feed people. It's how you say I love you.
Taking charge and making things happen.
Thinking three moves ahead.
Pulling people in without trying.
Making things, and making them well.
Needing room to roam and follow your own rules.
Who you are
Demeter was the goddess of the harvest, the one who kept the world fed. You take care of people the same way, practically and constantly. Your love language is a full plate, a ride to the airport, or showing up with exactly what someone needed.
You notice who's tired, who hasn't eaten, and who's having a rough week. Friends feel safe around you, and your home or your desk is usually where people end up. You build the kind of steady comfort that keeps a group together.
In the myth, when her daughter was taken, Demeter stopped the harvest until she got her back. You love that hard too. The risk is hovering. The people you care for also need room to grow, and sometimes the kindest thing is to let them.
You know it's you when…
- You packed leftovers for a friend before they even asked
- You noticed someone at the table hadn't eaten and fixed it
- You texted three people to check they got home safe
