Who you are
Energy's there, the path is real, and you're not set up to move — which, unusually, all points the same direction. This is a stay, and not a resigned one. This is a job that's still paying you in things that aren't money.
The reason you're not ready to leave is mostly time, and time is exactly what this job is giving you: skills that transfer, a story that will make sense to an interviewer, savings accumulating in the background. Every quarter here makes your eventual exit stronger.
The mistake at this stage is passivity — treating "stay" as "wait." Staying works only if you're deliberately stacking: taking the projects that build the resume, meeting people, banking money on purpose.
Set a checkpoint. Six months out, look again. If the path still looks real, keep stacking. If it's closed, you'll be in a far better position to move than you are today.
