The Organizer
This group meets because you make it meet.
Conversation finds its way to you without you steering
If it isn't decided, you decide it
You text people for no reason and always have
Who you are
You're in the middle of it, you make the decisions, and you're the one texting first. The dates, the reservation, the group gift, the person who hasn't been heard from — all of it routes through you, and it has for years.
Nobody appointed you. You just couldn't stand watching plans die in a chat, so you started fixing it, and then it became the thing you do. Which is real care, even though it gets logged as personality.
The trap is that consistent effort becomes invisible. People stop noticing the thing that always happens, and you end up doing everything and then feeling petty about wanting it acknowledged.
Hand one thing off completely this month — the venue, the gift, one whole plan. Not as a test. Genuinely. Either someone steps up or nothing happens, and both answers tell you something you need to know.
You know it's you when…
- You've made most of the reservations this group has had
- You notice when someone's gone quiet and text them
- Without you this group would meet maybe twice a year
