It's all on the outside. You get excited in public, you tell people what you love about them while you're thinking it, and the effect on a room is immediate — people leave conversations with you feeling like more is possible than they thought an hour ago.
You run on possibility. A new person, a new idea, a new city — anything with an unexplored edge lights you up, and you're extraordinarily good at making other people feel like the interesting version of themselves. That's not charm, it's genuine interest, which is why it works so well.
The maintenance phase is where it gets hard. You're outstanding at beginnings and the middle of anything — the routine, the plateau, the fourth month — is where the energy drains out, and you have to actively decide to stay rather than following the next open door.
The cost is that your yes is fast and your calendar is a disaster. You commit warmly to more than any human could deliver, then disappoint people you genuinely care about, which hurts you more than it hurts them. A twenty-four hour rule on every yes fixes most of it.
